„Playing Canicas“ is an audio visualization of the song „Playing Canicas“ by Doan Jilak. The main task of this project was to analyze the song’s characteristics and to visualize the sounds according to the feeling of the composition. Due to the mechanical sound of the song we designed a geometric form that reminds of a clockwork in an abstract way.
In collaboration with Merve Ucar, Narges Mohammad and Dania Sbeiteh.
The entire canvas is kept in pure white to create the feeling of infinity . The objects have the same color as the background, only the contrast of their shadows make them visible. The movements that belong together or happen in the same time are blue. Light and movement of the camera gave the visualization additional parameters. Additionally we created a poster with the visualisation as the main design element.
